About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of academic programs within the Faculty of Science. As the Academic Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day activities of the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences, working closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of academic programs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the delivery of academic programs support including student surveys, mid-semester tests, exams, and results
• Collaborating with staff across SAFES, the Faculty and Student and Scholarly Services particularly with respect to Academic Programs and teaching support
• Maintaining a sound knowledge of current University Policy and Procedures, and reliably follow these or provide compliant advice to others

Who We Are Looking For
You exhibit strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with others. You should also possess highly developed organisational skills, prioritisation abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

You will also have:

• A degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in tertiary student administration
• An understanding of using Learning Management Systems and experience in a range of IT platforms in a university environment
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice in accordance with organisational procedure and policy
• Ability to consistently provide high quality service, anticipate the needs of others, and improve service levels

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
