We have a position become available in our Warrington HQ for an Academy ManagerThe Academy Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the sales and leadership academies, as well as spearheading the development and implementation of new academies in alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives. Identify training needs, design the curriculum, and deliver high-quality learning programs to support the professional development of employeesWe’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, CIPD Level 5, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in training and development, with a focus on managing academies or similar learning programs.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for learning and development and a drive for innovation.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in training and development.
- Experience in curriculum design, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
The Role:
- Create and oversee the Sales Academy, including curriculum development, program delivery, and performance tracking to enhance sales effectiveness and drive revenue growth.
- Create and manage the Leadership Academy, including designing leadership development programs, coaching sessions, and workshops to develop and empower future leaders within the organization.
- Build an understanding of the divisional business, strategies, goals and capability gaps.
- Build key stakeholder networks to analyse current and future learning needs.
- Support talent development and succession planning through implementation of employee performance management.
- Lead the creation and launch of new academies, such as the Energy Transition Academy, Driver Academy, or Retail Academy, through identifying industry trends, curriculum design, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive and engaging training materials, courses, and resources tailored to the specific needs of each academy.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, leveraging various instructional methods and technologies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads, the People team, and senior management, to align academy initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
- Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of academy programs, track participant progress, and continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
- Work with the Head of Talent and Internal Communications to manage the academy budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support the development and delivery of training programs.
- Lead and mentor academy staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure a high-performing team
