The Department of Surgery within the School of Medicine at Stanford University is actively seeking an Accountant 1 to engage in a variety of moderately complex accounting tasks, including account monitoring, documentation, reconciliations, revenue reporting, and ledger management. As an integral member of our cutting-edge finance team, you will ensure precision, compliance, and efficiency in all processes. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, coupled with a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis techniques. Demonstrated proficiency in financial software applications, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, is required to effectively perform in this role.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Associate degree plus two years of applicable experience, or combination of education and relevant work experience.

WORK STANDARDS:
This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five regional pay structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $64,000 to $97,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
