Job description
Accountant for Community Wellbeing Non-profit Org (Immediate Start)
- Part Time, Ongoing. 3 full days (Mon-Wed) with the flexibility to work 4 shorter days.
- Located in Cranbourne.
ABOUT YOU
Maybe work life balance means more to you than winning the race to the top of the corporate career ladder.
You like the idea of working for a good cause, of doing important work, where you can make a real difference rather than simply growing someone else’s bottom line.
You’d like a flexible, supportive opportunity in a warm, inclusive multi-cultural environment, that’s friendly to your family or study commitments.
You’d welcome the opportunity to work with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community and you’re confident you’ll be able to absorb and blend in with the culture.
You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or a closely related discipline. You also have at least five year’s recent experience in a professional accounting role for non-profit organisations.
You’ll also be comfortable with the idea of working autonomously; in taking on some serious responsibility for an organisation that will be relying on your diligence and commitment.
You can put your hand on your heart and confidently say:
- You’re good at focusing and can take interruptions in your stride.
- You’re good at processing the numbers and you’ll be happy doing a lot of that.
- You’re a stickler for detail.
- You like helping people.
- You understand the wellbeing of many will depend on your meeting critical deadlines and keeping everything ship-shape and compliant.
If all that sounds like you, please do apply straight away. We’d love to hear from you!
