Cesvi is an Italian NGO working for global solidarity. Cesvi operates worldwide to support the most vulnerable populations in promoting human rights and achieving their ambitions, for sustainable development.
Cesvi has been working in the Kurdish Region of Iraq since 2018, focusing on the sectors of livelihoods, Protection, cash assistance and social cohesion.
CESVI supports the most vulnerable sections of the population such as displaced persons, refugees and host communities, with emergency livelihoods and food security activities.
The Logistic Officer will work within the framework of the above-mentioned mission.
Tasks:
- Be responsible for correct Cash and bank management (including cash replenishment) and Cash books updates on a daily base;
- Prepare cash count on a weekly base and cash and bank reconciliations on a monthly base;
- Ensure the correct daily recording of the proofs of payment in the cash and bank books;
- Be responsible for the digital archive of the proofs of payment (daily scan of proofs of payment);
- On a monthly base, handover the complete proofs of payments and supporting documents to the Country Administrator for archiving;
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed on time for payments for procurement, utilities, rent, internet, perdiem and other payment related financial obligations;
- Process any other payment request, when accompanied by necessary supporting documents;
- Any other assigned tasks related to the position by line manager.
- Update the Prime Entry on a monthly basis, under the supervision of the Country Administrator;
- Prepare bank books weekly updates and monthly bank reconciliation;
- Ensure that appropriate documentation for all financial transactions is in place, properly authorized and properly filed;
- Support the Country Administrator in the preparation and submission of interim and final financial reports;
- Work in collaboration with the Operations Manager focal point to ensures that all necessary procurements’ supporting documents are collected and complete;
- Support the Operations Manager focal point in the preparation of the procurement documents according to the Organization’s formats;
- Perform all the tasks requested by the Operations Manager focal point, agreed with the Country Administrator, in logistics related matters;
- Under the supervision of the Country admin, process the payments related to the mission running costs;
Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Professional experience
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar position. Previous work experience in an ING is added value.
- Good understanding of the accounting rules and regulations.
- Ability to work with extremely tight deadlines and multiple tasks, delivering good quality work in timely fashion.
- High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills and motivation to work as part of a team.
Languages: Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
Computer Skills: Excel, Outlook, and MS Office.
