Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team and provide financial analysis and reporting to our Disability and Wellbeing Services portfolio.
You will have a proven track record in management reporting, budgeting as well as strong excel and system skills to join our team. Using your high-level communication and relational skills you will help drive improvements to processes and reporting, managers will look to you to provide support, advice, and analyse data to drive improved results and support greater outcomes in a diverse and fast paced environment.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Oversee the end of month process for relevant portfolios, including the preparation and accuracy of month end journals and reconciliations
- Management reporting and reconciliation, as well as analysis of data
- Assist in delivering relevant, reliable, and timely financial analysis and advice to business decision makers
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reporting
- Provide high level support and advice to business unit managers and Senior Managers
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary qualification in either Commerce, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with Lumary will be advantageous
- Completion of or studying towards CA or CPA status (or equivalent)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with managers
- Management reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve effectively
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in Disability Services or the not-for-profit sector or large organisation would be highly regarded
