To enhance our Financial and Administrative Department we are currently seeking to recruit a full-time ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL OFFICER (English/French).

In our small and close team of 4 people, our Accounting & Financial Officer acts as a key player in the accounting & financial processes of the EC Projects and corporate & departmental activities.

He/She is passionate about his work and brings great added value to ensure the smooth delivery and control of our projects.

He/She Works closely with colleagues and plays an active role by compiling, recording, controlling and reporting ad hoc information.

Your responsibilities for ERTICO:

• Contribute to day-to-day accounting and transactions linked to EC Projects, ensuring compliance with Belgian and company accounting principles;
• Contribute to preparation of closing of accounts (including monthly & annual fiscal obligation);
• Prepare and compile the Periodic Financial Statements;
• Keep track of actual costs versus budgeted costs related to EC Projects and corporate activities;
• Ensure the follow-up of administrative and legal requirements of suppliers, corporate and EC contracts;
• Provide a back-up for other tasks of the department.

Qualifications we require:

• Have at least 5 years’ experience as Accountant, with knowledge of European VAT legislation;
• Have a background in handling budgets and confidential administrative, and financial data;
• Experience in working on EC projects would be a strong asset;
• Excellent knowledge of both English and French (written and oral);
• Excellent knowledge of MS office tools & Odoo ERP software;
• Multi-tasks-accurate-discreet-reliable-service minded-proactive-flexible;
• Demonstrate a high attention to details and deadlines;
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team;
• Good knowledge and practice with computing systems;
