Job Summary and Purpose
We are looking for a star with keen organizational skills to join the small but productive UCSRB team in the role of Accountant/Bookkeeper. This 32-40 hour/week position is responsible for a range of non-profit and operational activities, including maintaining our accounting system, currently on a modified accrual basis, grant billing, payroll, annual reporting, and other priorities as needed. This position provides timely financial information to the Executive Director, the UCSRB Board and reporting as required by federal, state, and other funding sources.

Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field with at least three to five (3-5) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online is preferred.

Compensation
This is a 32-40 hours/week position. Based on experience, the starting salary range for this position is $34-$40/hour plus full benefits, including retirement, medical, vision, dental, vacation and sick leave. This position is based in Wenatchee.
Organizational Background
The Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board (UCSRB) is a nonprofit, formed to serve as a regional salmon recovery organization and to coordinate and implement the Upper Columbia Spring Chinook Salmon and Steelhead Recovery Plan. One of seven regional salmon recovery organizations in Washington, the UCSRB is directed by a five-member board with representatives from Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan Counties, the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, and the Yakama Nation. The UCSRB staff work to support partner organizations, tribes, governments, industry, and other interests in collaborative efforts to enhance ecological restoration processes for salmon recovery and advocate for Upper Columbia regional needs and resources that provide economic, cultural and social benefits to our regional communities.
