| Job Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill two full-time Accounting Technician: Finance Assistant positions for the the Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration at Oregon State University (OSU). The Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration (OSRAA) resides within the Research Office. Its mission is to provide research administration leadership, achieved through the full grant “lifecycle” by supporting proposal submission, award negotiation and acceptance, research costing and analysis, award management, financial management and the closeout of awards that support Oregon State University’s continuous search for new knowledge and solutions in the three signature areas outlined in OSU’s Strategic Plan. The OSRAA Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the OSRAA finance team’s workflow, communication, and documentation needs. Additionally, this position will provide administrative and quality assurance support to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of award, financial, and closeout activities for grants and contracts. The position works closely with the functional teams within the OSRAA Financial Management unit and campus personnel involved in award financial management within Financial Strategic Services (FSS), college, centers, and departments. | What We Require |
12 quarter hours (8 semester hours) of Accounting courses AND one of the following: An Associates Degree in Accounting; OR One year of experience that includes entering, compiling and/or reporting financial information; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Transcripts must be submitted for all required and/or related courses. All courses must be from accredited colleges, universities, or private vocational schools. |
