More about the role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing the overall accounts payable function. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Processing invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy of all payables sub ledger records and following up on outstanding invoices with vendors.
- Ensure all payments are processed in line with internal control procedures.
- Proactively assist with month end processes including ensuring all bank payments and direct debits have been processed, all transfers posted, accounts payable sub ledger reconciled.
- Opening and correct distribution of mail, entering cheques and cash received into daily receipts register and banking of cash and cheques received.
Who we are looking for:
For this role, we are looking for a pro-active and detail orientated individual with a mix of the following experience, qualifications, and skills:
- At least three years of accounts payable experience.
- Knowledge on general accounting procedures and principles.
- Experience with ERP systems or another accounting software.
- Intermediate Excel and Microsoft skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
