The Role
The purpose of this role is to assist in the development of students’ Maths and English skills through the provision of targeted intervention sessions, which will take place in the Success Centre at the College. This is a new initiative to support students with maths and English up to Level 2/GCSE outside of lessons. Responsible for day to day running You will be required to facilitate and deliver small group sessions whilst able to recognise and track individual needs on maths and English concepts and revision techniques. To enable success you will have regular contact with Maths and English Tutors to assist in identifying need and feeding back on progress.
You will have previous experience working successfully with young people to develop their skills and of using your own initiative. You will also have excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a variety of college staff. You must have Level 2/GCSE Maths and English to undertake this role together with good general IT skills and ability to analyse and interpret data.
