Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for graduate level MAT510 Business Statistics class for the upcoming Spring quarter, starting April 1, 2024 in a hybrid format. The hybrid format is described as teaching the course in both the in-person and online modalities. This role requires 11 in-person meeting sessions for 2 hours every week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day/evening) at a specific Strayer University Campus. The balance of the course is instructed asynchronously online.

Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.

Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.

Arrive on-campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions per week during the academic quarter.

Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.

Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.

Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.

Adhere to University policies and procedures.

Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
Job Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.

Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.

Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Effective time management skills.

Education:
-
MAT 510 Business Statistics Doctorate degree required from a regionally accredited institution in any discipline with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter hours of graduate course work in statistics, mathematics or operations research (quantitative methods in business decisions). NOTE: We accept “Econometrics” (quantitative methods in Economics) courses, but this does not apply to other economics courses. We do not accept courses in research design and methods, except where unambiguously yoked to statistical content.

Professional Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience in an economic related field of Business, such as an Economist, Financial Management, Market Research Analyst, Financial Analyst, Budget Analyst, etc. Some international business or economic experience is preferred.
