The opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to support our esteemed Theme Director of Infection, Immunity and Global Health. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, possess exceptional organisational skills, and are ready to contribute to ground-breaking research, this opportunity is for you!
Your responsibilities include:
- Efficient diary management for the Theme Director, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, coordinating finances and resources, and setting up virtual conferences
- Autonomously navigate and make decisions in ambiguous situations, ensuring seamless operations
- Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and risk management processes with the utmost professionalism and discretion
- Provide additional support, as required, to initiatives led by the Theme Director
- Active participation in internal MCRI events and initiatives
About you:
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in a similar administrative role, preferably at an executive level
- Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently, plan ahead, and monitor priorities effectively
- High level computer skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, ensuring seamless execution of administrative tasks
- High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with maturity and common sense
