Your Impact
In this newly created position, you will work as part of the AEU Campaigns Team providing administrative support in the effective delivery of the union’s campaigns.
Specifically, you will:
- Assist in the management of campaign databases, websites and social media and coordinating production of campaign materials.
- Assist in coordinating of campaign events including logistics.
- Support the Federal Professional Officers specifically relating to campaigns including coordination of meetings, diary management, travel coordination and preparation of correspondence.
- Liaise with AEU branches, government, and representatives from other regulatory bodies or unions in support of the work of the AEU.
- Ad-hoc duties as required such as reception coverage.
What you bring
You are a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills who has worked in a similar role ideally within a political, union or campaigning organisation where confidentiality is paramount.
You will have:
- Impeccable organisational skills: ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities whilst keeping calm under pressure.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills including drafting and formatting document with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship building skills.
- Sound knowledge of campaign databases such as Nation Builder or similar.
- Medium to advanced skills using Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Zoom.
- A commitment to unionism and public education.
