Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Student Success in the Undergraduate Dean’s Office.
THE POSITION
The Administrative Assistant provides direct administrative support to the Dean for Student Success and contributes to specific operations in the areas of Global Education, Access Services, Fellowships, Academic Support, and the college’s Class Deans.
The Administrative Assistant assures the smooth operation of the day-to-day activities of the Department of Student Success and provides overall administrative support to the Dean in all areas including but not limited to correspondence, answering phones, calendar management, filing, mailings, and meeting coordination. This role is designed to directly assist the Dean in the coordination of programming and events that are of interest to the students in order to cultivate and build community. Providing support to students in understanding policies related to academics, temporary absences, withdrawal, academic concerns, dismissal, readmission, and other matters is also essential to the role.
Strong candidates should be highly organized with multi-tasking capability to manage multiple projects to deadline. Meeting and event management skills including notifications, preparation of agendas, exhibits, minutes, and mailings is also critical for this position.
