About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant will provide a multitude of essential functions for the Department of Medical Sciences and the School of Clinical and Rehabilitation Sciences. This position will function in a two-tier approach (1) Provide administrative support to the Department of Medical Sciences (2) Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean of the School of Clinical and Rehabilitation Sciences (SoCRS). Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting faculty and students; scheduling courses, organizing and scheduling meetings; managing and troubleshooting meeting technology; tracking, managing and maintaining certain department spending lines; data gathering, tracking, and reporting; maintaining office equipment; reconciling expenses; email communications; manage department shared email box; paper filing/electronic filing; mail sorting; answering department telephones/greeting guests, maintaining keys and department access; ordering office supplies; assist with events, including meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of office administration practices and processes; advanced proficiency with MS Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Skills required include ability to plan, organize and set priorities; time management; attention to detail, interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to carry out special assignments by completing activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. Skills and knowledge for this position are typically acquired through the completion of an Associate degree or equivalent and 1-3 years’ relevant experience.
