ROLE of the POSITION
Coordinate purchases in accordance with University, NSHE, and State purchasing guidelines for the Space and Facilities Departments. Assist with the annual budgeting process to assure adequate funding is available for ongoing support, replacement, and renewals.
Contact authorized service providers, and vendors to obtain quotes, proposals, bids and coordinate the subsequent requisition. Communicate with leadership regularly to review any variances in budget or expenditures.
Schedule preventative and routine maintenance for contracted services. Ensure maintenance, support and renewals are processed in a timely manner to avoid any gap in service. Ensures vendors are paid in a timely manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

SALARY
Grade 27 Step 1, $41,634.72. “Step” means the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade. Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
