Scope of Position: Position acts as an administrative assistant supporting musculoskeletal (MSK) program. Musculoskeletal care was called out as a priority area within the Wexner Medical Center’s 2018 Strategic Plan. The MSK program is a multi-disciplinary effort that encompasses providers from the following clinical backgrounds: Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Emergency Medicine and Neurology.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the academic commitments and calendars for a team of MSK physicians in the Department of Orthopaedics. Additionally, travel, CME, reappointments and other important professional and academic administrative tasks are managed by these individuals.
Minimum Education Required Per Classified Civil Svc. Specs Required Qualifications:
Proven considerable experience in an administrative capacity; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling and presentation software; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; ability to communicate with medical center, college and university leaders in an effective and professional manner; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments; knowledge of medical center and university organization and procedures; demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality; demonstrated high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; considerable active calendar management experience.
