Summary of Duties
This position is responsible for developing, planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the administrative, personnel, business, and fiscal functions for the Facilities Services department, with a budget exceeding $4 million.
The position has advisory, budgetary, managerial, and supervisory duties and responsibility for independent decision making regarding the daily administrative operations of the Department. Duties include: developing and implementing strategy to enhance business processes, receiving, dispatching, supervising and/or coordinating service requests, mail room operations, administration of campus building/room access; monitoring and maintain all budgets for units within the Department; overseeing and/or processing accounts payable invoicing and accounts receivable processing; preparing and processing personnel paperwork and appointments; coordinating day-to-day operations; serving as the Department liaison for administrative and operational matters.
The duties of this position include collaborating with the Campus Facilities Executive and the Director of Facilities Operations in formulating strategic planning and short-term/long-term goal setting for the department.
Required Qualifications
Positions require a bachelor’s degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet, database, word-processing, email, and calendaring software.
Demonstrated fiscal management skills, including experience with developing and managing budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using an enterprise management system, such as Workday.
Experience with Facilities Services, dispatching of personnel to address customer service requests, creating and/or updating service requests in a work order system such as AiM.
Experience with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Experience working with contracts.

Work Location and Schedule:
This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work assignments unless an exception is approved.
Monthly Salary:
Minimum: $4,869.00 ($58,428/year); Midpoint: $6,088.50 ($73,062/year); Maximum: $7,308,00 ($87,696/year), Grade 5 Zone 3. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to the mid-point of the salary range.
