Job Summary
The UCSF Housing Services Projects team uses lean principles for project management and strives to continuously improve internal processes and policies to help Housing Services build on their mission and enhance the vision. We are dedicated to supporting organizational growth and team development through the creation and implementation of programs, trainings, initiatives and internal policies. The team is currently looking for a Administratve Project Analyst (APA) to continue to use professional concepts to develop and improve upon existing policies and procedures that support our staff in delivering a quality housing program to the UCSF campus.
This role will report to the Senior Housing Projects Manager and will play a supporting role in the Housing Projects Team. This position will facilitate communication, coordinate schedules (including the calendar coordination of Housing leadesrship), create documentaiton systems and manage a high volume of administrative projects of limited to moderate scope.This position applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies on policy research, and must learn procedural best practices in the industry. The Housing APA will fully analyze issues and problems, gather data and information, and find and evaluate alternatives to make sound recommendations.
Below are a few operational programs that this role will administer and continuously improve upon. These examples include but are not limited to:
• Policy drafting, editing, distribution, training
• Organizational audits & compliance, creating systems for documentation and tracking.
• Internal staff and stakeholder meeting & events coordination
• Administering and improving internal employee support and recognition programs
• Coordinating and improving internal recruitment and onboarding processes
This position will play a critical role in interfacing on projects with other units in Housing such as the Housing Systems & Finance team, Housing Events & Communication, Housing Customer Services, Housing Assignments & Leasing Team, Housing Facilities Services, and various other units in Campus Life Services (CLS) and Finance and Administrative Services (FAS).
Housing Services is entering a time of significant growth. Not only will we be increasing our inventory by adding new communities, we are also being asked to support new housing programs that are often unprecedented in typical university housing settings (examples UCSF’s Affordable Housing Program, UC Law SF Collaboration, etc.). The Projects Team will play a critical role in managing the successful implementation of these new programs, and the APA will be a valuable support and coordinate the teams efforts.
