JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The lab of Kateryna Makova is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant 3 to support the fast-paced lab doing research of Molecular Evolution and Genomics.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Collect and ensure accuracy of documents being submitted for processing to financial department.

• Maintain lab website, lab computer warranties, and appropriate email lists.

• Update faculty activity reports, curriculum vitae, and promotion and tenure dossiers.

• Maintain calendars and schedule appointments, coordinate virtual and in-person meetings with lab collaborators.

• Arrange meetings, organize meeting material, and develop agendas for events and speakers. 

 

The successful candidate should be a self-starter, detailed oriented, and organized.

Education and Experience

Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior knowledge of biology is a plus.

This is a 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) appointment working 30 hours per week. Full Penn State benefits included.

This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of re-funding.
