The need-to-know…

Rise is hiring a new, part-time Administrator – Behaviour Support, to work 60.8 hours a fortnight within Rise’s Behaviour Support Team.

This role has true flexibility & plenty of options to improve your work-life-balance! You can either work four, 7.6-hour days a week, or, five 6.08-hour days a week, it’s up to you! Start & finish times can be negotiated to suit your lifestyle, but all hours must be worked between 8.00am & 6.00pm across Monday to Friday (no weekend work). You will work on a hybrid basis, with some office work at various Rise locations as required & some work-from-home.

As Rise’s newest Administrator, you will provide high level administrative support across all areas of the Positive Behaviour Program & some areas of the People with Disability (PwD) Program. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance requirements are met under the NDIS quality and safeguards commission for restrictive practices and positive behaviour support, undertaken through the coordination of internal & external quality assurance panel meetings, reporting requirements, portal administration & implementation across services. The role collates, tracks, and reports on restrictive practice and behaviour support information across NDIS services and provides best practice guidance to staff.

After a comprehensive training period of 2-3 months, you will occasionally be required to work independently and make decisions. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, autonomous individual who is confident in problem-solving, takes initiative, and seeks to improve efficiency.

A typical day might look like…

  • Provide top-notch administrative support including meeting agenda preparation, minute taking, maintaining documentation, following up actions & preparing invoices.
  • Maintain administrative systems and processes relating to Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support.
  • Prioritise your workload effectively based on team needs and requirements.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Support the NDIS team in compliance and governance requirements, including restrictive practice reporting requirements.
  • Monitor the NDIS quality and safeguard commission portal for new behaviour support plans.
  • Prepare and compile high-quality, accurate reports on restrictive practices, with assistance as needed.
  • Ensure all service agreements and schedules of support are current and properly signed.

The need-to-have…

Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or higher, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to manage own time & prioritise workload independently.
  • Well-developed communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative to identify tasks and proactively address them.
  • Confidence in making autonomous decisions and solving problems.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and database management.
