Admissions Assistant (Schulich School of Music)

The Admissions Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Admissions Office at the Schulich School of Music. Under the direction of Admissions and Recruitment Officer, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of high complexity and the incumbent performs them using general instructions.

Typical Functions:

Provide general and detailed information concerning admission to the Schulich School of Music (both Undergraduate and Graduate levels.)  Explain procedures concerning programs, admission, registration, current fees, student aid and other relevant information. Assist in various admission and recruitment duties including filing and recording of required documents for admission applications. Follow up with applicants regarding missing admission documents.  Process recorded audio/video material related to admissions: (i.e. retrieves, reviews, saves and records receipt of material in applicants’ file.) Receive, screens and places telephone calls and electronic communication. Ensure timely follows up as needed. Assist in the audition process: enter audition information in applicant file, record audition confirmations, note cancellations and changes, forward to appropriate staff. Assist in the processing of timekeeping for payments made to audition panel members and accompanists. Prepare and upload undergraduate admission scholarship letters.

High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience

Hourly Salary: (AMUSE C) $16.06

Maximum hours/week: 20 hours (during peak periods)
