The Admissions Coordinator is a key member of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine Office of Admissions as they serve as the primary point of contact for all callers and visitors to the admissions office; providing information about the programs in response to prospective student inquiries; processing supporting documents for the MD application. Manage logistics of the interview day and recruitment programs including tracking interviewer availability, developing interview day schedules, manage the electronic calendar, process all communication from applicants related to the interview day, organize and communicate the interview day activities, manage changes to the interview day schedule. Responsibilities include various aspects, as assigned, related to the MD admissions programs: processing applications and related materials throughout the admissions cycle; coordinating recruitment events (virtually and in person); serving as a resource for applicant and prospective student inquiries. This position will also seve as back-up to other positions within the office, as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and at least three years of directly related work experience in higher education and/or medical education.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
•Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of all applicable computer software or ability to learn them
•Proficiency with database software programs
•Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write content free of spelling and grammatical errors.
•Demonstrated strong interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse population of doctors, students, faculty and staff.  
•Demonstrates the attributes of a team player across multiple levels and departments.
•Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.
•Must be able to work independently, prioritize and organize work.
•Must have the ability to meet simultaneous deadlines, handle confidential materials, manage time effectively and use good judgement.
•Ability to be detail oriented.

Preferred:
*Experience with admissions or recruitment in a higher education setting.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
