Position Objectives:
The consultant is expected to provide virtual advanced Excel training to the team in a manner that ensures that participants can connect with the dimensional functions in the Excel tool allowing for more efficient and effective use by the project. Most importantly, the consultant is expected to deliver the training to cover, but not limited to, the areas of need captured below:
- Use PivotTables, Macros, Hyperlinks, lookup, reference, and statistical functions.
- Use IF and VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
- PivotTables and PivotCharts.
- Create and manipulate PivotTables and Pivot Charts.
- Use advanced functions and productivity tools to assist in developing worksheets.
- Manipulate data lists using Outline, Autofilter, and PivotTables.
- Use Consolidation to summarize and report results from multiple worksheets.
- Record repetitive tasks by creating Macros.
- Use Hyperlinks to move around worksheets.
Position Responsibilities and Deliverables.
The Consultant is expected to perform the following activities and deliver the following deliverables that are technically acceptable to State2State, including review and feedback followed up by timely responses from the Consultant:

Design a Pre-Test questionnaire to be sent to participants to identify core areas of need/focus.

Develop and share with the State2State team a customized training plan on the advanced Excel training topics to be covered to establish clear learning objectives.

Prepare training materials (Including video links), and case studies (if required), to support the learning process to be reviewed and approved by HR Manager and Capacity Building Advisor.

Conduct interactive training sessions, and practical exercises to facilitate learning and skill development including facilitating discussions and knowledge sharing among selected State2State staff to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Prepare and submit the first draft training report summarizing POST TEST evaluation, Training Evaluation and the key topics covered, and recommendations

Establish Learning Objectives: Before planning the structure of the training sessions, it is essential to establish clear learning objectives. These objectives will guide the content and activities of the training and help measure the participants’ progress and achievement.

Design a Structured Plan: The training sessions will follow a structured plan that outlines the sequence of topics, activities, and resources. This plan will provide a clear timeline and ensure that the training objectives are met.

Practical Exercises: To support the delivery of the training content and ensure that staff understand what is being taught and can demonstrate it practically.

Evaluate and Adjust: Regular evaluation and feedback mechanisms will be incorporated into the training sessions to assess the effectiveness of the content and delivery. This feedback will help identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to enhance the learning experience.
Reporting:

The Consultant will report directly to and have his/her technical deliverables reviewed and accepted by the Capacity Building Advisor, HR Manager, and the State2State Director of Finance & Admin.
Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications: The consultant should possess a relevant advanced degree in a field such as computer science, project management, advanced information technology, or any related discipline.

At least six (6) years of Training Experience: The consultant should have experience providing teaching or training in Microsoft Excel packages. This experience should include designing and delivering instructional content, assessing learning outcomes, and effectively engaging learners.

Proven understanding of how Excel tools are used for project management and operational complex systems.

Microsoft Certified Trainer certification will be an added advantage

Excellent communication and virtual facilitation skills, that keep the virtual audience engaged.
