The Advancement Coordinator in the A. James Clark School of Engineering will enhance the operational efficiency of the Engineering Advancement Office (EAO). The Advancement Coordinator must be highly skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This role requires a high-level of interpersonal skills and understanding of strategic initiatives to work effectively across a wide range of constituencies. The Coordinator will prioritize and troubleshoot scheduling for the Chief Development Officer and Senior Directors, manage preparation and logistics for meetings with external stakeholders, and facilitate the involvement of faculty, staff, and students in donor cultivation activities. The Coordinator is responsible for managing and monitoring the EAO budget, facilitating contracts, making travel and meeting arrangements, ensuring prompt vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with university policies. The incumbent will design and implement data management processes, lead the team’s onboarding of new employees, leverage project management tools for effective collaboration and be a subject matter expert in university systems. This position will hire, train, and supervise two student assistants including managing and delegating assignments. Attendance at events during and after regular office hours and weekends will be necessary. Limited travel, primarily in the Baltimore-Washington region, is required. This position is integral to the success of the Engineering Advancement Office, contributing to its strategic goals and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
