Advancement Data Manager

Are you a data professional who is passionate about philanthropy and education? Join our growing Advancement Team and help our generous community make an impact with their support. You will lead our use and integration of advancement data in all aspects of advancement-related relationship-building. In partnership with the Advancement and Marketing teams, you will collaborate to inform strategies and guide supporters through their giving journey with The Oaks Academy.

Building on 10 years of improvement and a recent conversion, you will now lead our optimization of the advancement modules within our database (Veracross) to take data-use to the next level. Join us as we prepare to launch a public campaign, engage new audiences, and grow our supporter community.

Our Christ-centered and diverse school environment is founded on the belief that relationships come first. We strive to know and love our hundreds of supporters and leverage data to constantly improve and strengthen those relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department’s use of data to inform and improve advancement efforts

• Manage all gift entry, reporting, acknowledgement, queries, and data integrity

• Maintain relationships with 3rd party donor intermediaries and vendors

• Support leadership, gift officers, marketing, and communications in relationship management

• Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to supporters

• Assist with team projects, occasional events, and advancement efforts

Requirements

• Five plus years of professional donation data-management experience and familiarity with advancement programs, positions, and functions

• A passion for the mission of The Oaks Academy and data management

• Proven results managing data to drive philanthropic relationship-building

• Driven to explore, problem-solve, and optimize functionality of donation management software

• A talent for leveraging processes and building systems to grow both individual and team capacity and results

• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills

• Ability to work independently and within a larger team of advancement professionals

• CFRE or continued education in fundraising and/or data management preferred

• Devout Christian who is a member of, associated with, or seeking to be associated with, a Christ-centered community of faith or a church
