Advice Team Lead
£30,037 to £33,257 plus 8% employer pension contribution
Full time (35 hour per week)
Edinburgh (Hybrid of home and office working)

If you have a commitment to customer service, a passion for coaching and an interest in the
environment then we are looking for you!

We are looking for an Advice Team Lead with the desire to deliver a high quality, target
driven, customer focused advice service within the Home Energy Scotland Advice Centre South
East. To be successful in this role you will need to be a dynamic leader who can motivate a
team to achieve high standards in a fast-paced environment, supporting individuals to deliver a
high quality customer experience that empowers households in Scotland to take action.

The successful candidate will be expected to be hands-on, coaching a team of 10-12 Energy
Advisors with the support of a Senior Energy Advisor, coordinating the allocation of work to
ensure the smooth and efficient running of the advice centre. You will work closely with the
Advice Team Manager to achieve high productivity and quality outputs, whilst looking to
maintain a culture that supports individuals to develop within a high performing team.

With a commitment to excellent customer service and an interest in the environment you will be
highly organised with an ability to develop and deliver efficient and straightforward
processes. You will be an excellent communicator who is adaptable and able to manage change,
ensuring the team is equipped to deliver up to date information to households in Scotland.

More and more households are facing the reality of living in fuel poverty, at the same time as
we also address the challenge of decarbonising heat in Scotland’s homes. The HES advice service
is at the centre of this challenge and this role will be play a crucial role in supporting the
growth and impact we want to achieve.

This opportunity offers a challenging and stimulating position in the environmental and charity
sector. Changeworks provides an inclusive and supportive working environment with an excellent
benefits package. Changeworks is a leading environmental charity and social enterprise in
Scotland. We give people and organisations practical support to live and work more sustainably.
We deliver the Home Energy Scotland service in South East Scotland and Highlands & Islands.

Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation
(something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of
the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would
recommend us as an employer too.

The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions
from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant
increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and
external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency
retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.

We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious
objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs
talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full
training plus coaching and mentoring.

We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an
excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.

At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
