The Corporate Real Estate Program Officer will support the GCSCR Senior Manager and Management Team and will collaborate across GCS, facilitating seamless knowledge exchange across all units.  This role serves as a vital link between GCSCR and the GCS Front Office.  The focus of this position is to formulate and manage responses to Senior Management regarding GCSCR’s work program. The Program Officer should possess the ability to transition seamlessly from conceptual visioning to providing detailed responses to leadership queries. The successful candidate will be instrumental in consolidating and communicating our policies for the real estate portfolio encompassing both Headquarters and the International Portfolio.

Duties and Accountabilities:

The Corporate Real Estate Program Officer will support the Corporate Real Estate Senior Manager and Management Team, will work across GCSCR to ensure that knowledge is flowing between all units, and will serve as a key liaison between Corporate Real Estate and the GCS Director’s front office. 
 
Duties and accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide strategy, policy, and analytical support to GCSCR work programs and initiatives.
  • Work with the Managers and Senior Program Managers across GCSCR to prepare reports, briefs and presentations for delivery to multiple audiences, including senior management.
  • Manage communication flow, briefing notes, presentations and other documentation; ensure proper and timely follow-up on action items; and liaise closely with GCS Director’s Front Office.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with WBG internal units (i.e., PaC, Health Services, Security, Budget Planning and Strategy, Procurement, Information Technology) to promote engagement and ensure Real Estate matters are effectively coordinated with all stakeholders.
  • Develop and present management-level presentations and memorandums that achieve desired outcomes to address client and senior management requests.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key clients. Exercise discretion and communicate effectively and consistently to build trust at the highest levels in the organization. 
  • Respond quickly and proactively to requests, providing professional briefings and reports. 
  • Solid ability to conceptualize, draft, and present workplace ideas. Able to formulate innovative concepts or ideas and translate into actionable actions.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the GCSCR Senior Manager / management team.
Selection Criteria:

This role requires you to be able to demonstrate success in supporting and encouraging a positive culture of delivery and innovation. Specific requirements include:

  • Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to work in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in developing holistic strategies for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a global organization.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication skillset to engage with all levels of staff backed by a solid ability to conceptualize, draft, and present workplace ideas.
  • Ability to edit output of other team members and finalize products for publication and to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Proven capacity to multi-task, deliver results, and respond quickly and effectively to requests.
  • Capacity to gather, analyze and coordinate data and to present it to management, staff, and others effectively.
  • Ability to support facilitation, implementation, and monitoring of standardized processes, practices, policies, procedures.
  • Certification and/or relevant experience in change management considered an asset.
