Enabling the network of expertise across the SDGs, within and beyond UNDP, the SDG Integrator is the team that influences, shapes, and activates platforms for intersectional collaboration for complex, multifaceted, and ‘frontier’ issues in sustainable development. As such, the SDG Integrator team is at the heart of UNDP’s Global Policy Network (GPN).
The SDG Integrator Advisor at the Amman Regional Hub curates and coordinates SDG implementation support at the regional and Country Offices level. He/she ensures that UNDP’s offers/integration services are informed by the experiences on the ground and by the broader debates and analytical advances on SDG implementation.
Specifically, the SDG integration Advisor supports in identifying and developing scalable programmatic solutions for complex, large scale development challenges at the regional and country levels. Her/his hands-on support focusses on and integrates complex requests/problems that relate to multiple thematic/SDG areas, defining their complexity, scalability, and entry points for system change.
The SDG Integration Advisor works as connector with the wider GPN and external support and collaboration options at every stage of identified programme responses, including:
Position Purpose
The SDG Integration Advisor is based in the Amman Regional Hub and reports to the Global BPPS SDG Integrator Team Leader in New York and the Regional Hub Manager.
The SDG Integrator Advisor at the Amman Regional Hub curates and coordinates SDG implementation support at the regional and Country Offices level. He/she ensures that UNDP’s offers/integration services are informed by the experiences on the ground and by the broader debates and analytical advances on SDG implementation.
UNDP adopts a portfolio approach to accommodate changing business needs and leverage linkages across interventions to achieve its strategic goals. Therefore, UNDP personnel are expected to work across units, functions, teams, and projects in multidisciplinary teams to enhance and enable horizontal collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitation of coordination and integration services of the SDG Integrator Team within the region:
