The project aims to follow a youth-centred approach where young women and men in all their diversities (including persons with a diverse gender identity, indigenous people and people with disabilities) are enabled to safely leading the planning, design, and implementation of this project, enjoying and exercising equal rights, with access to resources and engage meaningfully in decision making processes and influence to challenge and address gender stereotypes systems, social norms and harmful practices.
By addressing the harmful gender norms throughout the life-course, building agency, advancing strategic and basic conditions and positions of youth in all their diversity including girls, and young women in the family, society, and state level, while working with boys and young men to embrace gender equality and exercise positive and diverse masculinities, the project will respond to the needs and interests of youth in all their diversities, and foster an enabling environment for gender equality and girls’ rights. This consortium will work together to amplify the rights, representation and resources of young people (with all their diversities including GYW) from local to national level to combat harmful gender stereotypes.
- We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Master’s/advanced degree in Social Sciences (Development Studies, Mass Communication, Gender Studies), Law, Project Management or any suitable discipline preferably from the reputed universities in Bangladesh or abroad.
- Someone with At least 08 years proven track record of project management preferably who have expertise on National level Advocacy related project management; preferably related to Girls and youth empowerment, Media & Communication platform, skills training, Violence prevention, policy influence and national advocacy.
- S/he should have experience in community organising, public mobilisation especially engaging young people and/ or working with social movements for change.
- Should have strong project management, budget management and analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and power-point.
- Also have ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of Plan.
- This includes effective negotiation and representation skills too.
- Should have in-depth understanding of gender dimension in youth economic empowerment issues and gender and age-specific economic opportunities.
- Also, should have knowledge of child-rights programming, girls and young people safeguarding, and gender transformative programming.
- S/he should have excellent in Project Cycle Management, Project proposal development process with report writing skills.
- Experience in working in International NGOs and work in cross-cultural contexts would be advantageous.
- Should have the ability to work in a team and networking skills combined with the talent to think conceptually and analytically.
