 Job Summary:

The Agricultural Engineer will support project activities in Rawah by providing technical assistance to farmers, with a focus on crop production under agricultural tunnels (greenhouses) and wheat cultivation using fixed sprinkler irrigation systems. The role involves regular field visits, farmer communication, technical consultations, and reporting on implemented support activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support farmers in crop production under agricultural tunnels, including best practices for planting, irrigation, and crop management.

  • Provide technical guidance on wheat cultivation using fixed sprinkler irrigation systems.

  • Conduct regular field visits to beneficiary farmers in Rawah to monitor progress and provide on-site technical support.

  • Communicate effectively with beneficiaries to answer inquiries and provide agricultural consultations tailored to their needs.

  • Identify challenges faced by farmers and propose practical technical solutions in coordination with the project team.

  • Prepare and submit technical reports on support activities, field visits, and progress achieved under the project.

  • Contribute to improving agricultural productivity and promoting efficient and sustainable farming practices.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.

  • Practical experience in crop production, particularly greenhouse cultivation and sprinkler irrigation systems (preferred).

  • Experience working directly with farmers and providing technical extension services.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to conduct fieldwork and travel within Rawah and surrounding areas.

  • Good reporting and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
