Job Overview
Xiaoliang Sunney XIE’s Group is recruiting researchers specializing in AI for Biomolecular Science. Leveraging the group ’s solid technical foundation in functional genomics, the researcher will be responsible for designing and optimizing deep learning models, which use both public databases and laboratory-owned datasets to solve the frontier problems of protein-protein interaction, antibody-antigen recognition and prediction, protein and antibody design.
Xiaoliang Sunney XIE’s Introduction
Responsibilities:
- Develop novel machine learning, deep learning, or optimization algorithms with broad biological applications scenarios. These methods may include natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, molecular dynamics simulation, etc.;
- Use machine learning and deep learning to study nucleic acid-protein interactions and how they interact with other molecules, as well as establish relevant models;
- Focus on the development and validation of methods, construct and optimize predicting protein structures and protein (nucleic acid) interactions, process and method for protein design (such as antibody and enzyme design). Combine physical and data-driven approaches to achieve higher-level prediction and design capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in one or more of the following fields: machine learning, computational biology, mathematical physics, computational chemistry, protein engineering and design, molecular dynamics simulation, etc.; 4-5 years of research experience in relevant fields;
- Proficiency in Python, solid programming foundation, outstanding programming style and work habits;
- Familiar with at least one mainstream deep learning framework (TensorFlow/PyTorch);
- Knowledge of common machine learning algorithms (Transformer/CNN/graph neural networks, etc.), solid theoretical foundation and practical experience;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive learning attitude, and responsible working attitude.
