Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator/ Conservation Intern
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the county’s aquatic invasive species (AIS) efforts.
- Conduct Clean Boats, Clean Waters outreach at county-wide boat landings.
- Assist with many different types of conservation projects, including agricultural and biological related topics.
- Data entry, record keeping, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required: Must be currently enrolled in, or just graduated from, a post-secondary education program focused on natural resources or related field. Must have a basic understanding of invasive species issues. Some experience in customer service or dealing with the public is preferred. Driver’s license required. Work shifts will vary and will include 2-3 weekends per month.
Wage will be $14.41/ hour, with no benefits. Position will be 30-37.5 hours per week with some flexibility in hours, but not to exceed 600 hours over the summer. Some spring and fall weekend hours would also be available.
