- Salary Range: $92,332 – $104,762
An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health Specialist to join the Inner Gippsland Student Support Services (SSS) team. SSS Allied Health Specialist will hold a graduate or post-graduate qualification in one of the following Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work of Occupational Therapy. Developing strategies that address barriers to education for children and young people within an educational context. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, SSS Allied Health Professional will provide comprehensive discipline services to schools to support student engagement and learning and provide high-level professional advice to principals and school networks that strongly influence practice in local area schools.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered in conjunction within requirements of the role. Peer supervision and support is available within the team structure. Professional development and opportunities for growth within the role would be available for the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will possess a graduate or post-graduate qualification in one of the following Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy, be eligible for membership of the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), Australian Association of Social Work (AASW), or member of APRA depending on discipline and possess a current Australian Drivers’ Licence and Working with Children Check.
The Inner Gippsland SSS team is made up of Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Team Leader and Branch Manager. SSS work collaboratively with schools and an Area Health Wellbeing and Inclusion Workforce (HWIW) to support student emotional health and wellbeing.
As a member of this team, you will have access to a car to travel to various school locations (subject to availability), a laptop, an iPhone as well as access to an extensive assessment and resource library.
