Reporting to the Safer Pharma Programme Manager, the AMR Project Officer will support our safer pharmaceuticals-related project work, ensuring high-quality implementation of the programme’s projects and deliverables. 

The successful candidate will take the lead in coordinating the activities of the AMR-EDUCare project. This project aims to develop educational materials for healthcare professionals in 6 EU countries (Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Lithuania)  to reduce the spread of and exposure to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). To achieve this goal, we will develop three courses on optimising antimicrobial prescribing, reducing and managing antimicrobial waste, and empowering patients through effective communication. The project aims to train more than 4,000 professionals in Europe. 

In addition to the coordination of activities for the AMR-EDUCare project, the candidate will contribute to the implementation of other projects focusing on tackling AMR, and support the overall Safer Pharma programme’s projects and policy activities. 

The ideal candidate has experience in managing project consortia and engaging different stakeholders. They will have excellent project management skills, are well-organised, have attention to detail, and can multitask.
