Introduction :

Background


UNDP is seeking the services of an interior and space design firm to execute the plans and meeting the furnishing needs that align with the vision of the Centre. 


UNDP Innovation Centre is located at United Nations Information Centre [UNIC] Office No 17, Alfred Rewane Road [formerly Kingsway Road], S.W. Ikoyi, Lagos (Lat: 6.44735640727°; Long: 3.42749079521°) Nigeria. The office seeks to upgrade audio/video systems in the main conference room.



SCOPE OF WORK


 The Pan-African Timbuktoo Hub on Fintech will be designed with the following core spaces:


1. The co-working space as a creatively designed, innovatively furnished providing multi-purpose space that can accommodate 20 persons allowing for networking opportunities, connecting like-minded fintech entreprenuers, investors & industry experts. Creative furnishing should enable collaboration & co-working furnished in an agile manner that allows for repurposing the space for pitch and product launch events, as well as ecosystem hangouts. Furnishing should include lounge chairs, and private phone pods.

1. It will serve as a fertile ground for founders & ecosystem collaboration, connecting ideas to opportunities and problems to solutions. Through this space, founders will gain access to knowledge, inspiration, and shared insights through unstructured and structured conversations. The co-working space will need to be equipped with multiple power points and Uber-fast internet.

2. The fintech product Design Lab is a 10-person seater space that will need to be furnished in a creative manner that allows for small and large groups to huddle together collaboratively in building fintech software, or prototyping hardware, learning from experiences virtually and gaining insights from experts. The lab will need to be equipped with sample equipment that will facilitate fintech innovation and efficient product development. Specifics will be provided in section 2 below of this call. 

3. The business development and coaching pod will also double up as a coaching space with capacity to sit 10 persons. It will serve as a room where industry experts mobilised from existing fintech networks, accelerators & innovation hubs will provide coaching, mentorship & advisory services to support startup founders building impactful, valuable and scalable fintech businesses in Africa. Coaching will be provided both physically on sight when cohorts are on ground as well as virtually given the Pan-African nature of the Hub. 

4. A fintech venture fund advisory pod will be a combination of physical space with capacity to sit 10, equiped with digital collaborative elements to facilitate advisory services in a hybrid manner, guidance on financing landscape, avenues for due diligence, & strategic guidance on unlocking venture funding. This space will be equipped with physical meeting & virtual collaboration capabilities. 

5. A branding studio is a space with capacity to seat 5 where creative professionals work on developing and designing visual identities and branding strategies for projects, products, or businesses. This setup enables designers, marketers, and creatives to collaborate, brainstorm, and develop effective branding strategies and visual identities.
