We are seeking a compliance professional to focus on due diligence and anti-corruption risk management, helping to ensure that HP Legal maintains effective worldwide controls and provides timely advice to colleagues. The successful candidate will, among other responsibilities, resolve business ethics-related inquiries, assist in maintaining HP’s compliance processes, and conduct risk assessments using internal systems and open-source information. As needed, the Anti-Corruption Program Lead will support HP’s Integrity Investigations function, both on projects and case-related work, by providing support to investigators and investigations counsel.

The Anti-Corruption Lead will provide support to ethics and Integrity initiatives for the HP Ethics & Compliance Office. This work will include collaboration with colleagues from the Ethics, Investigations and Litigation Team and across HP to develop and deliver ethics initiatives and outreach campaigns and to conduct other activities. The role also requires developing anti-corruption training courses worldwide, including online and face-to-face sessions.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide oversight and continuous improvement of existing anti-corruption controls and programs.
  • Collaborate with fellow Program Leads as they establish and improve internal controls related to anti-corruption and compliance practices.
  • Support anti-corruption and compliance control audits and related policies, corporate initiatives, and remediation plans.
  • Undertake data analysis to better understand HP’s corruption risks and other ethics indicators.
  • Coordinate with HP’s Integrity Investigations Team as well as members of Legal, People Organization, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, and other business partners.
  • Travel – occasional travel may be required (subject to travel restrictions).

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role and organization.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to identify key anti-corruption and compliance risks.
  • Knowledge of data analysis.
  • Strong presentation, organization, and networking skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills with a strong business acumen and a keen understanding of internal control principles.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.K. Bribery Act (UKBA), or other anti-corruption issues, including compliance program design, training, and/or audit (five years or more experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in International Relations, Criminal Justice, or a related field of study, CFE, or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with data analytics.
  • Experience working with and optimizing open-source investigations management tools.
  • International open-source investigation experience and foreign language proficiency.
