**Job Overview/Summary:**The Anti-Trafficking Caseworker provides holistic case management services for clients who are victims of trafficking (VOT), including intake, the development of individualized service plans, and connecting clients with necessary services and resources within and outside of IRC’s programs. The caseworker carries out program compliance and quality assurance processes and provides related technical assistance, training and outreach to build capacity among community stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Case Management and Referrals:

• Provide trauma-informed comprehensive case management for clients to help them feel safe, empowered, and stable.

• Complete individualized client intakes, including orientation to services, assessment of client needs, and development of client-specific safety plans.

• Develop individualized service plans for each client with an emphasis on the client’s strengths, barriers and needs. Assist clients to set and achieve goals leading to economic and social self-sufficiency.

• Connect clients to community resources including physical and mental health services, public benefits, transportation, low-income housing, social and community support, legal services, food access, childcare resources, etc.

Partnerships and Community Engagement:

• Build and maintain partnerships with external community service providers to improve client access. Assist clients in accessing ongoing care.

• Represent IRC at community meetings and events, build relationships with local stakeholders and maintain IRC’s visibility among community partners.

• Establish clear referral systems with community partners, both for sending and receiving referrals.

• Participate in office wide and program-specific meetings, trainings, and staff development activities.

• Train and support the activities of undergraduate, graduate, and other student interns and volunteers.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain excellent case file quality by ensuring complete and timely documentation of intakes, assessments, service plans and case notes.

• Monitor and track service delivery to ensure compliance with program guidelines. Complete and submit client assessments at required intervals to track client’s progress toward service plan goals.

• Prepare, distribute, and document clients’ direct assistance and donations.

• Assist with completion of reports as required by funders and/or donors.

• Comply with and remain up-to date on all policies, procedures, and best practices of the agency.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in social work, international relations, or related field.

• At least one year of case management experience.

• Experience working with refugees, victims of human trafficking, or other immigrant populations.

• Experience providing client-centered, trauma-informed care preferred.

• Fluency in written and spoken English; Bi-lingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai or French desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in written records.

• Cultural sensitivity and strong cross-cultural communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team member in a multicultural environment.

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Valid driver’s license and reliable access to an insured vehicle.

Working Environment:

• A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time in and around the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

• May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits:

The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
