The opportunity

The AOD Clinician plays a crucial role in helping residents recognise and tackle behaviors that may pose risks, while also assisting them in shaping purposeful, self-determined lifestyles. Working under the guidance of a Senior AOD Clinician, the AOD Clinician offers personalised support to a group of residents.

This involves one-on-one and group sessions, advocacy, and therapeutic interventions, all aimed at helping residents achieve their unique treatment plan goals through connecting them with suitable external resources.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience conducting assessments, case management and development of effective client-centred treatment plans for clients with complex needs.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working within the alcohol and drug sector, mental health or other primary health care environment with an understanding of AOD service navigation with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment of clients with complex needs utilising relevant AOD screening tools.
  • Minimum Diploma in a health-related discipline (e.g., social work, youth work, mental health, psychology or similar).

The team

We’re a friendly, passionate, dynamic bunch of individuals that value continuous improvement and collaboration. We support your growth, both professionally and personally, and foster an inclusive and diverse workplace committed to equality and embracing differences. Our commitment to gender equality, flexible working, mental health & wellbeing, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion fosters an innovative organisational spirit.
