About the opportunity

As an AOD Counsellor you will provide trauma informed support to reduce AOD related harms to individuals and their families. You will conduct assessments and provide a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members to change harmful behaviours, increase their capacity to effectively manage the problems they are experiencing associated with AOD use, and promote recovery.

About you

We are looking for a skilled Counsellor who is enthusiastic, energetic and confident and works well in a team environment. You will hold a qualification in social work, psychology, nursing or other relevant allied health discipline. You will also hold a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Work or required competencies in AOD, qualifications in dual diagnosis OR willingness to undertake, as well as demonstrated experience working with AOD or dual diagnosis clients.
