Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)Here at Serco, we are seeking an Appian Developer to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes scoping, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our customers.You will not only become the expert at building process applications in the Appian software but will also become business process experts in the customer industries they work and are responsible for. You will also be responsible for having a direct impact on the Appian team development enabling continuous improvement to the service provided to our customers.As part of this you’ll:
- Work directly with customers throughout the entire life-cycle of projects to define, design, and implement business process-based solutions
- Assist in application deployment and roll-out to production
- Work with team members to identify, mitigate and resolve project issues and risks
- Contribute and deliver continuous improvement of service delivery for implemented Appian solutions.
- Independently communicate with both customer technical teams and business owners as needed during the design, implementation and service phases.
- Working in a collaborative, self-organising agile team that lead transformation from idea to implementation (from strategy through delivery).
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level
- Participate in team design meetings, daily scrum meetings, and other development meetings.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Well educated, with at least a BS in Computer Science or related field/degree in addition to 2+ years of experience
- Prior experience with software engineering, (ideally BPM/Workflow, Data Integration Architecture or EAI)
- Passionate about technology: Modern Responsive Web Applications, Mobile-First Solutions, Composite applications
- Demonstrated past success in cross-functional teams building products using agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills.
