About the Role
Within this role you will focus on aligning business needs with technological solutions at The Benevolent Society. You will collaborate with stakeholders to assess organizational processes, gather requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for IT teams.
As our Applications Specialist you will support business processes through the provision of technical support and management of benevolent enterprise business applications. You will resolve user requests and issues, being involved in projects, business as usual patches and small upgrades. You will manage various software vendors from a day to day perspective, accumulating benevolent knowledge and reducing the dependency on vendors for support.

Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience
- Intermediate understanding of Windows Server operating systems, server-based computing and configuration, DNS, DHCP
- ITIL certification or equivalent experience with incident, problem, release and change management processes
- Experience in the NFP sector
- Strong knowledge of business application support and administration in a dynamic environment
- Strong experience and a good working knowledge of application performance tuning, integration and testing
- Ability to provide guidance on strategic development issues across business applications
- Proficiency in data and process analysis encompassing data modelling & concepts, alongside an analytical mindset for problem-solving.
- Experience identifying, gathering, and documenting business requirements.
- Demonstrated Experience in engaging stakeholders and developing relationships and ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written forms.
