Arborist Crew Leader

R.P. Marzilli & Company is an award-winning landscape contractor that builds and maintains ultra high-end landscapes in the Greater Boston, Cape and Islands, Rhode Island and Berkshires regions. We are dedicated landscape professionals who are committed to the industry.

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking additional Arborists Crew Leader to join our team. We are looking for multiple individuals at all skill levels to strengthen our Tree Care division. From ground person to experienced Certified Arborist and/or climber.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Perform tree pruning techniques of trees and shrubs including advanced techniques required to prune and remove trees near obstacles and in high-risk situations.
• Lead a team of tree professionals, managing performance and conducting knowledge transfer of techniques and skills
• Willingness to learn and/or participate in:
• Tree climbing
• Pruning
• Rigging
• Cabling and bracing
• Removals
• Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Implementing work zone safety procedures
• A strong commitment to adhering to the safe workplace culture of R.P. Marzilli

Job Requirements 

• Minimum of 2 year relevant experience
• Certifications including MCLP, MCH, ISA or state arborist certifications preferred but not required
• Ability to perform the essential physical duties as listed above
• Knowledge and experience in appropriate equipment operation, cabling and bracing, and safety standards.
