• Field sales role selling a manufactured range of smaller format ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles
• Targeting independent retail showrooms, initially you will be given a target list of between 50-100 potential customers
• New business role, you will be the first sales person on the ground for this European manufacturer in the UK targeting this sector
• Promoting a localised stock which has been imported from Europe
• 2-Month placement at our clients’ European HQ, to undergo in-depth training on all facets of the business
• Attending annual events and trade shows where required, as well as circa 3-4 trips per year to European HQ
• Customers include kitchen and bathroom retailers, other independent retail showrooms, and national and regional tile distributors
• Targets will be based on personal and market development rather than revenue initially
• Overnight stays will be required due to the large area
• Assisting with merchandising, training, developing and nurturing bathroom retail showrooms

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Tile Industry with:

• Fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking 1st field sales role either having working in an independent retail showroom or someone looking to progress into their first field sales role straight from university
• Spanish language skills are not essential but may be advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills/ territory planning ability
• An appreciate or qualification within: interior design/ construction/ business/ architecture may be useful
• Previous experience of having sold into tile, kitchen or bathroom retail showrooms or distributors is not required
• Resilient personality with genuine sales ability
