Job description
The .NET Lead Developer will be thoroughly hands-on and is responsible for designing the UI using ASP.NET and backend services using C#.NET language by adopting best practises and modern design guidelines followed in IT industry. The Developer adheres to the solution design and architecture proposed by the Shipping Architect. The developer should be skilled in implementing .NET projects following modularisation principles that enables reusability of components. The application should be hosted on cloud (EC2 server) initially as a tactical solution and should be convertible into microservices using .NET Core when it is required to be hosted on Linux-based container platform (Redhat OpenShift) in the future. Hence it is key to have the implementation of services well modularised into services for their future enablement of hosting as microservices on container platform. The developer would be following Shipping coding standards which is aligned with Microsoft coding standards.
Accountable for:
- Quality development of ASP.NET and C#.NET Core backend services maintaining the integrity of the application codebase. Proficient in AWS Cloud Products particularly with AWS API Gateway, Lambda and AWS Aurora. Authentication with SSO integrated with Azure active directory.
- Providing direction to team on best practices with UI and backend services development leveraging deep expertise and knowledge the Lead developer brings.
- Ownership of the solution adhering to both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Adherence to industry best practises of developing well-modularised and reusable solutions.
- Working closely with Project Manager/Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Testers and Fellow developers to align one-self with the team to produce quality and timely delivery of the software solution.
- Work with the Architecture and BA team to provide innovative technical solutions to business problems at application level. e.g. Change requests.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline.
