Manchester Branch provides a variety of Personal Banking and Corporate Banking services to customers in the UK mainly in the region of North England, including deposit, loan and mortgage, remittance, bank card, clearing, currency exchange and corporate related banking services. As an Assistant Customer Service – Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service for different types of customers including high-net-worth individuals and Embassy staff. This is a full time permanent position.Key responsibilities

  • Assist to ensure that the open counter team provides excellent customer service by processing new account applications, handling customer enquiries and any other non-cash related matters
  • Open accounts, conduct and fulfil Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), Source of Funds (SOF) and Source of Wealth (SOW) compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with Embassy staff and high-net-worth customers
  • Liaise with Head Office in London and domestic network to support the Bank’s cross border business
  • Liaise with credit card/debit card centre in relations to any card issues
  • Complete a variety of administration duties to assist with the development of client relationships and operations
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, manuals and guidance at all times
  • Undertake additional duties delegated by Branch Manager when needed
  • Assist the closed counter team when needed to ensure smooth running of day-to-day service at closed counter

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Experience within the Financial Services industry and proven track record in similar business stream
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Customer service experience
  • Good knowledge of banking industry and processes
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Flexible in terms of working hours
