Position Title Assistant Director of Campus Activities & Residential Engagement (temporary position)
FLSA Exempt
Primary Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Campus Activities & Residential Engagement, the primary role of the temporary Assistant Director includes the following duties:
  • Act as the Greek advisor for St. Lawrence University’s 6 Greek chapters.
  • Oversee the spring new member education for the Greek system.
  • Meet bi-weekly with all chapters, and weekly/biweekly with Panhellenic Council. This also includes mandatory trainings for Greek chapters, including safe events and hazing prevention trainings.
  • Manage Presence, the University’s student engagement platform; help departments, clubs, and organizations update and operate their pages.
  • Oversee the Junior and Senior class councils, helping them plan events and fundraise. For Senior class council this includes helping plan Senior Week, a series of celebratory events that occur between the end of final exams and Commencement.
  • Serve as the Campus Activities liaison to the Office of Wellness Education.
  • Assist with department-wide initiatives, including but not limited to Winter Carnival, Spring Concert, Moving-Up Day, and more.

This is a full-time, temporary position. The anticipated duration of employment is approximately 3 months, concluding on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in student life, undergraduate student leader, and/or graduate assistant experience strongly preferred.
Salary The salary for this position is $4,871.58 per month.
