annually. The Assistant Director also cultivates and solicits gifts
from an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects and manages the
Young Associates program and Patron Backstage Tour program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors.
- Manage Young Associates Program, including solicitation
schedule, calendar of activities and events, and other related
special projects. - Provide staffing support for Young Associates Chairman,
including cultivation/solicitation plans for assigned
prospects. - Manage meetings and activities of the Young Associates Steering
Committee. - Host during Patron and Young Associates events and entertain
assigned prospects individually - Manage the Patron Backstage Tour Program, Special Tours and
Intermission Tours - Train and evaluate Tour Guides, update Tour Manuals
annually. - Participate in the development of strategies to engage donors
and prospects to encourage increased involvement and secure
increased gifts. - Assist Patrons and Young Associates – provide excellent
customer service, both overall and more specifically with
subscriptionreassignments
Skills and Qualifications
- BA degree and 4 years of individual fundraising experience;
interest in the performing arts. - Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Excellent written/verbal and computerskills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with
fundraising database systems such as Raiser’s Edge; knowledge of
Tessitura preferred - Strong time management and organizational skills.
Physical Demands
- Energetic team player who works well with all personality
types. - Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Evening and weekend work required.
- Hybrid role with fluctuating in-office requirements, ensuring
adaptability to seasonal changes and a flexible work
arrangement.
$75,000 – $80,000 a year The Metropolitan Opera believes
