The assistant land steward plays a vital role at Knoll Farm: helping us to keep our land healthy and our buildings beautiful, safe and inviting. Knoll Farm seeks a self-motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic to join our team. You’ll be spending the beautiful Vermont summer outside and playing an important role in a vital organization.  If you are open to learning new skills as part of a small team with a meaningful mission, we have an open position for you!  You will be doing a variety of tasks for our historic farm and forest: 

  • Landscaping, brush-hogging, mulching, and mowing
  • Fixing fence lines
  • Tackling assigned simple carpentry tasks as part of general building maintenance
  • Splitting wood
  • Trail building and trail clearing
  • Painting, staining
